PORCELAIN INLAYS/ONLAYS
“Excellent solutions for large cases of tooth decay”
Inlays or Onlays are given to replace big metal fillings or when there is not enough tooth structure to support a white filling. They can also be used to restore teeth that are cracked or fractured if the damage is not severe enough to require a dental crown. Inlays and onlays are usually made from porcelain, composite resin, and gold. Since they can be created from tooth-colored materials, inlays and onlays are virtually invisible and can create a more natural looking smile. With the latest technology and advanced materials, inlays and onlays can be very durable and long lasting.
At the first session, we’ll painlessly remove the decay or old filling, take a detailed impression of the tooth and then insert a temporary white filling. A custom-made porcelain inlay or onlay will be bonded to the tooth at the second session a week or so late
