Minimize teeth grinding and clenching effects:
Many people suffer from Bruxism, which is the clenching together of both the upper and lower teeth. This condition occurs while you sleep and can cause pressure on the muscles, tissues, and other surrounding structures of the jaw. A large number of people who clench also tend to grind their teeth. Grinding is when you slide your teeth over each other in a back and forth, sideways movement. Some of the symptoms include headaches, neck pain, jaw pain, ear pain, tense muscles, and excessive wear on the teeth, which in turn affects the TMJ (temporomandibular joint).
Treatment – Dental night guards are most commonly used to minimize teeth clenching and grinding effects.
We custom-make a protective covering for either your upper or lower teeth, which will prevent the wear and tear on your teeth while you sleep, thereby relaxing the muscles and the joint.
Sport Guards Can Act as a Cushion to Protect the Teeth from Injury
When a child or an adult begins to participate in recreational activities and organized sports, traumatic injuries to the teeth may occur. A properly fitted sports guard is an important part of athletic gear.
